Employer Description We own and operate five nurseries in Bury. We are a family owned business who truly believe in putting children at the heart of everything we do. All of our nurseries are rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted and we provide an excellent standard of Childcare for all of our children and their families.
Salary £4.75 per hour, rising to in excess of £7.45 per hour after 12 month period. £178.13 per week to start Hours Of Work 37.5 hours per week Mon – Friday shifts to be discussed at interview

Vacancy Description

We have a number of vacancies available for ambitious, enthusiastic and committed Apprentices to join our nursery teams.  Positions are available which may be at any of our sites at Walmersley, Walshaw and Tottington.


Role and Responsibilities

Apprentice Nursery Nurses will undergo a thorough six month induction process during which they will be provided with support and training.  They will be expected to provide an outstanding level of care for all of our children, ensuring that they are cared for in a safe, loving and stimulating environment. Duties will include:

  • Ensuring the safety of children at all times
  • Supervising outdoor play
  • Supporting development through play
  • Preparing and feeding children
  • Keeping the nursery clean
  • Dealing with parents and any paperwork that needs completing
  • You will be supported throughout your training and treated as a valuable member of staff


Qualifications and Education Requirements

Candidates will have obtained at least a Grade C/4+ in GCSE Maths or English


Preferred Skills

Candidates will be enthusiastic, energetic and have a flair for working with children. 


Personal Qualities

Applicants will need to be passionate about providing children with the best start in life and be prepared to put children at the centre of everything they do. 

Successful candidates are required to provide disclosure and barring service check (formally known as a CRB). Candidates should be aware of our strict and comprehensive child protection policies and procedures, and will be aware of their responsibility for safeguarding children.


Future Prospects
