Employer Description We are a warm friendly day nursery catering for children aged 0-4 years and are committed to encouraging children's confidence and independence to prepare them for school. The nursery opens from Monday to Friday 51 weeks of the year. Sessions are from 7am to 6pm.
Salary £4.15 per hour, £124.50 per week Hours Of Work 30 hours per week / Mon – Fri shifts between 7:00am to 6:00pm
Position Type Apprenticeship Age Range 16+
Qualification Children and Young Persons Workforce Level 2 or Early Years Educator Level 3 Standard plus Functional Skills if required. This is a work-based qualification although some college attendance may be required for Functional Skills for Level 2

Vacancy Description

This is a fantastic opportunity within a well-established nursery near Bolton town centre for someone looking to get into the Childcare industry or progress. You will be working in the nursery alongside a professional and experienced team, learning a range of skills to develop a career working in a Children and Young People’s setting. 

Role and Responsibilities

You will be trained to a high standard in all duties required of you involving keeping the children safe and enhancing their learning and play. This will include: 

  • Ensuring safety of children at all times
  • Supervising outdoor play
  • Supporting development through play
  • Preparing and feeding children
  • Keeping the nursery clean
  • Dealing with parents and any paperwork that needs completing
  • You will be supported throughout your training and treated as a valuable member of staff
  • We will provide uniform garments free of charge

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • No requirements for Level 2 applicants
  • GCSE grade 4-9 (A-C) in Maths and English essential for Level 3 applicants
  • Level 2 Childcare essential for Level 3 applicants

Personal Qualities

Candidates for apprenticeships must have a passion for developing their career in Early Years and show passion and flair for supporting young children and their families. They will also need the ability to cherish the individuality of children and support us in putting in place the foundations of lifelong learning whilst upholding our high profile. You will be required to work shifts between 7:00am and 6:00pm so you must be flexible with your working hours. You will also have to provide the employer with two references and pass a DBS check.
