Employer Description Ibex Marina Ropes are manufacturers of high-quality elasticated shock cord and rope for a variety of uses including industrial, sport and military. This role is based in their brand new Head Office at the recently developed Park 66, Pilsworth, Bury.
Salary £6.45 per hour Hours Of Work 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri, 8.00am-5.00pm with 1 hour for lunch
Position Type Apprentice Age Range 16+
Qualification Business Administrator Level 3 Standard. College attendance will be required once per month.

Vacancy Description

We are looking for an Administration Assistant willing to learn about the necessary administration required for a busy office in a manufacturing business.  This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to gain experience working in a supportive environment, covering a range of areas including, sales, marketing, accounting, purchasing and general administration.

There is limited public transport to the Pilsworth Industrial Estate, please check that you are able to commute to the listed address before applying. Own transport would be preferred. 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Providing administration support to the team.
  • Production of letters & sending of emails
  • Accurate updating of client records
  • Updating Social media and other marketing activities
  • Handling telephone enquiries and messages
  • Supporting the Administrators and Sales Team in the provision of a high quality service to clients
  • Preparing client valuations using excel and other resources
  • Sales order processing & producing quotations
  • Processing purchase orders and invoices

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of 5 GCSE’s grade 4 or above and must include Maths and English
  • You will ideally have completed further education to A-Level or equivalent
  • Previous work experience will be highly regarded

Preferred Skills

Computer literate with some experience of using Microsoft office package and Wordpress (desirable)

  • Good interpersonal skills and a self-motivated individual
  • Proactive attitude - you should be prepared to make extra efforts if required
  • Highly accurate, numerate, well organised and able to work under pressure
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Be methodical, accurate and have a thorough approach to work, with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise workload and work to tight deadlines
  • A desire to show initiative
