Employer Description We are a family owned business established in 1997 selling and distributing a range of over 1500 products from its head office in Manchester city centre and a 200,000 square foot distribution centre in St Helens. Salary £4.00 per Hour £160 per week Hours Of Work Monday to Friday 8.30 - 5.30pm

Vacancy Description

Trainee receptionist / Customer Service

Role and Responsibilities

  • Working alongside our very experienced receptionist this role will be to ensure that we provide a courteous and friendly service to all our guests.
  • Managing incoming and outgoing post, liaising with couriers, handling incoming calls and emails and assisting managers with administrative duties
  • To act as first point of contact for general reception queries ensuring all visitors complete the visitor book and are directed to the right person
  • Printing and posting of invoices on a daily basis
  • Manage stationery and office consumables,
  • Assist with the showroom keeping shelves stocked and tidy,
  • To assist with refreshments when required to visitors
  • Ensuring all calls are answered in a timely manner and either transferred to the correct person/ department or a detailed message is taken

Qualifications and Education Requirements

5 GCSEs at grade C or above which must include Maths and English (or equivalent). The ability to use MS packages, word, excel and outlook

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of Microsoft office products
  • Excellent communication skills

  • A confident manner who can remain calm under pressure

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Can do attitude
