Employer Description We are a high street law firm providing services in the following areas of law: Civil Law, Personal Injury, Family Law, Immigration Law, Commercial Law and Medical Negligence. Our clients remain with us for many years and new clients come to us on recommendation.
Salary £115.00 pw Hours Of Work 35 Hrs
Position Type Apprenticeship Age Range 17 - 19
Qualification Level 2 Business Administration plus Functional Skills if required. this is a worked based qualification.

Vacancy Description

We are looking for a Business Support Apprentice to provide a support function for our law firm. Our law firmis a fast paced and dynamic environment so the ability to multi task and manage a range of responsibilities is key. This role will give you an excellent platform to move into a wide range of career choices.

 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Reception and hospitality duties

  • Accurate and efficient scanning and storing of documents on client records

  • Production of letters

  • Sending of emails

  • Accurate updating of client records

  • Post duties

  • Handling telephone enquiries and messages

  • Supporting the senior partner in the provision of a high quality service to clients

  • Carrying out tasks which have been delegated by the senior partner

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements

5 GCSEs at grade C or above which must include Maths and English or equivalent. The ability to use MS packages, Word, Excel and Outlook. An interest in IT or an IT qualification.

 

Preferred Skills

 

  • Strong work ethic required

  • Bilingual skills will be a bonus, the ability to speak fluent Urdu and Punjabi

  • Good communication skills, with clients and other team members, essential

  • Must be able to work as part of a team, assisting where required.

  • Willingness to respond to change and adapt quickly when required.

  • A positive attitude with a flexible working approach

  • IT skills

 

Personal Qualities

You must be able to take responsibility for your own duties and perform them to the very highest standard. You will work as part of a team and can expect help and support, at all times, from the other members. You will be expected to offer them your support. You should have an interest in advancing through the training, to becoming a fully efficient administrator.

Future Prospects

This vacancy is for the duration of your apprenticeship; on successful completion of your programme, you may be offered a permanent contract
