Employer Description We are a very busy GP practice based in the heart of Whitefield. Our friendly and dedicated team are here to treat those minor ailments that occur, as well as providing specialist management of long-term conditions and clinics covering a wide range of healthcare issues.
Salary £150.00 per week with a review after three months Hours Of Work 37.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri 9.00am – 3.30pm (half hour unpaid lunch break)
Position Type Apprenticeship Age Range 16+
Qualification Intermediate Level 2 in NVQ Business Administration plus Functional Skills at Level 1 if required.

Vacancy Description

We are looking for a Business Support Apprentice to provide a support function for our Receptionist/Administrators. Our team works in a fast paced environment so the ability to multi task and manage a range of responsibilities is key. Patient confidentiality is imperative.

 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Occasional reception and hospitality duties
  • Accurate and efficient scanning and storing of patients records
  • Production of letters
  • Sending of emails
  • Accurate updating of patients records
  • Post duties
  • Handling telephone enquiries and messages
  • Supporting the Administrators

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements

5 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above which must include Maths and English or equivalent are desirable but not essential.

 

Preferred Skills

  • Strong work ethic required
  • Good communication skills, with patients and other team members, essential
  • Must be able to work as part of a team assisting where required
  • Willingness to respond to change and adapt quickly when required
  • A positive attitude with a flexible working approach
  • IT skills
  • The ability to use MS packages, Word, Excel and Outlook is advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.

 

Personal Qualities

  • You must be able to take responsibility for your own duties and perform them to the very highest standard.
  • You will work as part of a team and can expect help and support at all times from the other members of staff. In turn, you will be expected to offer them support.
  • You should have an interest in advancing through the training, to become a fully efficient Administrator.
  • Good time keeping and a smart appearance are essential.
