Employer Description Founded in 1996, we are an agent and distributor for manufacturers who supply specialty raw material to the paper, coating, plastics, textile fibres, pharmaceutical and chemical industries in the UK and Ireland. We represent the largest Sulphate TiO² manufacturer and complement this range with polymer emulsions, Kaolin, Calcium Carbonate and ATH from European manufacturers. With access to 7 R+D centres based in Western Europe, we can offer unrivalled technical support in meeting our customers need for innovation and improved optimisations
Salary £5.00 per hour, £200 per week Hours Of Work 40 per week. Mon to Fri, 9am-5pm, 1 hour for lunch
Position Type Apprentice Age Range 16+
Qualification Level 2 Business Administration plus Functional Skills if required. This is a work-based qualification although some college attendance may be required for Functional Skills.


Vacancy Description

The role of the Administration Apprentice is to support the administration team and learn on the job with a view to becoming a full member of the team. As part of the team you will be expected to work well alongside the other members of the team and to offer support and assistance whenever necessary. The Administration Apprentice is to carry out specified administration duties as part of the administration team’s main tasks and goals and will be measured against the following criteria:

  • Quality of document production and information management
  • Customer service/complaints
  • College course - Administrative


Role and Responsibilities

Providing administrative services including: 

  • Business document production and information management and analysis
  • Collating and reporting data
  • Archiving data/information
  • Handling mail and telephone calls


Qualifications and Education Requirements 

Minimum of 5 GCSE’s including English and Maths


Preferred Skills

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications and Outlook
  • Competence in following work instructions
  • Managing and prioritising daily activity in an effective and competent manner


Personal qualities

  • People person, good communicator and able to fit into a team
  • A willingness to learn
  • Motivated and hardworking with good timekeeping


Future Prospects

Subject to a successful apprenticeship you may progress to a Level 3 or may be employed by the company in a full time role.
